Gin Botanique Avem, Botaurus : nos conseils de dégustation

Gin Botanique Avem, Botaurus: our tasting advice

The composition of the new Avem Gin offers notes of candied lemon and herbal and floral touches. This is followed by a spicy finish that lingers on the palate. Although Botaurus's flavors are unusual, it can be enjoyed neat or in cocktails.

Botaurus tasting suggestions

A sure bet: Pure on ice

The coldness of the ice softens the aromas and allows the gin to fully reveal itself. As the gin warms slightly in the mouth, other flavors emerge.

We recommend using a tulip-shaped glass to concentrate the aromas and a spherical ice cube to avoid excessively diluting the gin.

An iconic duo: Gin Tonic

The famous Gin and Tonic allows Gin to express its flavors. We recommend an Indian tonic as it provides a neutral base that highlights the subtle flavors and nuances of the gin without overpowering them. The slightly bitter tonicity of the Indian tonic creates a harmonious balance with the herbal notes of our Botaurus gin, offering a balanced and refreshing taste experience.

To enhance its floral aromas, add dried rosebuds or fresh parsley leaves to recall its botanical origins.

A sweet alliance: Green tea & botanical gin

When the delicate flavors of botanical gin meet the soothing, herbal notes of green tea, it creates a captivating combination for a unique cocktail. This refreshing and aromatic pairing seamlessly blends botanical gin and green tea for a memorable experience.

Here is our suggestion for a green tea cocktail:

  • 60 ml of botanical gin of your choice
  • 30 ml of brewed and cooled green tea
  • 15 ml of cane sugar syrup
  • The juice of half a lime
  • Fresh mint leaves
  • Ice

We hope these suggestions have inspired you and we look forward to discovering your favorite pairings with our Gin Botaurus.
