GRIMA RUM: DESIGN AND HISTORY

Grima's Story

Grima Rum

Grima was originally a port on the Garonne River located in Cadaujac, the birthplace of Maison Mounicq. It once served as a river stopover for Graves wines bound for Bordeaux. With its winemaking and naval heritage, the Gironde capital has contributed significantly to the spread of rum in the city for centuries. Its history greatly inspired the Nadé brothers in the development of their rum: thus, Grima was born. Embark on a journey to exotic destinations and let yourself be carried away by these tastings.

Axel Nadé's first creation

Axel Nadé Rhum Grima

Axel's words: " It is with great joy and pride that I present to you this new universe that I had the pleasure of creating! My friends from Reunion Island at Rhums Gadyamb introduced me to these juices of unrivaled quality and it was with great joy that they offered to supply me with them years later.
I therefore decided, as was done in the past in Bordeaux, to age it initially in an old wine barrel. This one comes from the La Fleur des Amandiers estate and had contained a Bordeaux wine from their wine estate based in Montage Saint-Émilion, made from the Merlot grape variety.
This family property fully corresponds to the values that my brother and I try to reflect. Subsequently, I refined it in an old rum barrel reconditioned by Tonnellerie Navarre, a famous Cognac house that specializes in reusing old barrels for aging spirits and other alcohols.
