"The renaissance of Bordeaux spirits"
In collaboration with Michel Jacquin, Maison Mounicq has created Ô Chartrons, an exceptional Fine de Bordeaux made from Ugni Blanc and Sémillon grape varieties grown in the Entre-deux-Mers region. Distilled in a traditional still and then aged in oak barrels, this grape brandy reveals a rare aromatic richness: grilled dried fruits, candied fruits, woody touches, and smoky notes. A noble and vinous French spirit, available in an ultra-limited edition (507 bottles). Renaissance won the gold medal at the Spiritives 2025.

History
The Fine Bordeaux "Ô Chartrons" was born from the collaboration between Michel Jacquin, winemaker and distiller at Château Lartigue-Cèdres in Entre-deux-Mers (Bordeaux), and the Nadé brothers, founders of Maison Mounicq, specializing in the production of spirits inspired by the vine.
The three Bordeaux residents have combined their respective expertise to revive THE emblematic spirit of the Bordeaux region: La Fine Bordeaux . A magnificent, little-known grape brandy.
Renaissance , our Bordeaux brandy, is now back, for its 4th edition with only 507 bottles.
Design
Our Fine Ô Chartrons is made from two grape varieties: Ugni Blanc , the most widely used grape variety in the production of cognacs and armagnacs, and Sémillon , the most widely grown white grape variety in Bordeaux. These grape varieties are grown exclusively under the Bordeaux appellation and then distilled and aged in the Gironde region by Michel Jacqin.
Ô Chartrons is the result of the blending of three barrels of Fine Bordeaux aged respectively 1, 3 and 4 years, then selected by Cedrik and Axel Nadé.
- Harvest: Ugni Blanc & Sémillon | Entre-Deux-Mers | Clay-limestone soils
- Distillation: Double on Chalvignac copper still
- Breeding: Stainless steel tank
- Aging: 1 year, 3 years and 4 years
- Reduction: Slow with pure water
Aromatic Profile
This grape brandy is distinguished by its flavors of subtly roasted nuts with gourmet and woody touches.
Aging in oak barrels gives it depth and power while retaining a characteristic vinous roundness .
This subtle blend of terroir and know-how, combining softness and character, will seduce you!
Upon tasting, this vintage reveals nuances of hazelnuts and toasted almonds accompanied by fruity aromas combining candied fruit and prunes. On the finish, there are notes of leather, tobacco and subtly smoky undergrowth.
Tasting advice
Fine Ô Chartrons is enjoyed like a fine Bordeaux spirit. Serve it slightly chilled, between 14 and 16°C, to reveal all the finesse of its aromas. It goes very well with a yellow fruit dessert or a hard, mature cheese.
