A molasses rum from Mauritius, aged for three years in Bourbon and Cognac barrels. It is then refined in two Bordeaux barrels: a former Sauvignon Blanc from Château Ambre de Maltus and a former Merlot from Lalande de Pomerol.
This rum reveals rich aromas of chocolate, coffee, toasted almonds, and vanilla, with a long, woody, and spicy finish. Enjoy neat at room temperature. Perfect with a pear and almond tart or fruit tart.

History
Grima was originally a port on the Garonne River located in Cadaujac, the birthplace of Maison Mounicq. It once served as a river stopover for Graves wines bound for Bordeaux. With its winemaking and naval past, the Gironde capital has contributed greatly to the spread of rum in the metropolis for centuries. Its history greatly inspired the Nadé brothers in the development of their rum: thus was born Grima. Embark on a journey to exotic destinations and let yourself be carried away by these tastings.
Named in homage to the emblematic fish present in the Garonne, the Bream, in Latin Blicca , this vintage highlights a collaboration between Bordeaux and Mauritian terroir!
Design
Made from molasses from Mauritius, Grima Blicca Rum is distilled in a column at the Grays distillery, then aged for 3 years in ex-Bourbon and Cognac casks.
Its unique character comes from a 3-month maturation in Bordeaux, in ex-barrels of Sauvignon Blanc from Château Ambre de Maltus and Merlot from Château Maltus (Lalande de Pomerol).

Aromatic Profile
This rum is distinguished by its smoothness and indulgence, with pastry notes like chocolate and coffee. On the palate, Blicca reveals nuances of toasted almonds, cocoa beans, and vanilla that naturally give way to a spicy and woody finish, giving this rum roundness and complexity.
Tasting advice
This rum is best enjoyed on its own, at room temperature, to fully appreciate its rich aromas. To accompany your desserts, opt for a pear and almond tart, which will enhance its pastry notes. If you're looking for a fresher taste, a fruit tart will provide a pleasant contrast by balancing its roundness.
