History
For the end of 2025, Grima partners with Swell de Spirits, an independent bottler based in the Gironde, renowned for its boundary-pushing releases inspired by the world.
Together, they invite you on a journey where exotic horizons meet the vineyards of Bordeaux.
From this collaboration comes a rum shaped by two stories: one rooted in the winemaking tradition of the Gironde, the other driven by a spirit of freedom that travels far beyond borders.
Creation
Born from a friendship between Maison Mounicq, Swell de Spirits and Château Tour Grand Faurie, this limited release brings together three worlds united by the same standards and the same passion.
Its journey begins in Jamaica, with a blend of white rums from five of the island’s legendary distilleries — Hampden, New Yarmouth, Monymusk, Long Pond and Worthy Park — before crossing the Atlantic for maturation in a former Bielle 2015 cask.
It completes its voyage with a final refinement of several months in a Malbec barrel from our winemaker friends at Château Tour Grand Faurie in Saint-Émilion.
Bottled in December 2025.
Aromatic Profile
This rum, crafted by Grima x Swell de Spirits, takes you on a journey between Jamaica and Saint-Émilion.
On the nose, it reveals intense red fruit aromas, led by Morello cherry and wild strawberry, supported by expressive Jamaican esters.
On the palate, the attack is vibrant, driven by the unmistakable aromatic signature of Jamaica. Gradually, the Malbec cask finishing introduces notes of ripe red fruits, almost jam-like, bringing a layer of indulgent balance to the structure.
The long finish intertwines stewed fruits with a subtle vinous roundness, extending the journey well beyond the final sip.
